AOF foresees the following committees
Four committees for each of the following sub regions:
- West Africa
- East Africa
- Southern Africa
- Central Africa
Four specialist committees:
- Ophthalmic Education Committee
- Scientific Research and Conference Committee
- Advocacy and Resource mobilization Committee
- Society Development Committee.
